New Year, New Goals

It’s that time of year again where everyone is setting new fitness and health goals, and I’m one of those people. I always feel blah after Thanksgiving and the holidays because I eat WAY too much – especially too many treats and goodies! This year is no different in that I want to be more active and lose some weight, but this year I have a way better strategy to help me achieve these goals.

I’ve always been the type of person who works out for two to three weeks, and then I get bored and lose motivation. This year, I knew I needed to figure something out to motivate me to continue working out. After lots of research, I found an app that will actually reward me for working out. It connects to the Health app on my phone & my Apple Watch, but it also can connect to tons of other apps, such as FitBit or MyFitnessPal. It gives me points each day based on how active I was, how many steps I took, how long I worked out, how much water I drank, etc. So far, I’ve been averaging around 70 points a day, and I am having so much fun watching them accumulate! The best part? When I get to 10,000 points (I know, it seems like a lot, but I’m hoping to be there in a few months!), I can cash out my points for $10! Free money for working out? I’ll take it. I love that I don’t have to do anything extra because the app already knows all my information since it’s connected to my watch and health app. If you’re someone who needs motivation to keep going, I highly recommend you download this app! I’ll link it here.

I’ve set a goal to do at least 10,000 steps a day for the entire year, and a total of 3 million steps in 2021. For all my math people out there, this breaks down to 250,000 steps a month. Y’all help hold me accountable!! I’m 25 days into the year, and so far I’ve met my step goal 20 of the 25 days. Not too bad if you ask me! I’m still on track to meet my monthly step goal, so that’s the important part!

On top of working out and eating healthy, I’ve also incorporated some amazing supplements into my daily routine that are helping me burn more calories, reduce fat storage, and improve my gut health. Every morning before I have my coffee, I drink 24 ounces of cold water and take a Burn pill. These pills help me burn more calories and increase my metabolism throughout the day. I also take a probiotic pixie stick and a shot of Aloe Vera, a shot of Noni, and a shot of my mineral supplement to increase my gut health. After my coffee, I take a shot of liquid collagen to help my joints and muscle tone (side note – it also helps my skin, hair, and nails!!). Every night before I go to bed, I take a spoonful of my fat burner that tastes just like chocolate pudding. I save this one for after dinner because it always cures my sweet tooth.

If you’ve got any other tips or tricks that will help me stay motivated and get in shape, send them my way or leave a comment below! Let’s all help each other out this year.
