Honduras 2017

Wow, what an amazing week I had last week in Honduras!! I was fortunate enough to return for the fourth time with 15 other people from my home church, Northminster Presbyterian. We flew into Tegucigalpa on Sunday, and from there, we drove south to Choluteca. We partnered with HOI and Lufussa (Honduras’s power company) and worked in the village of Pavana. We had some unforeseen delays, such as the small hurricane that came through on Monday, but we were still able to have an exceptional week and do a ton of work in the village. Each day we helped cement floors, build pilas and latrines, and teach Vacation Bible School. We truly had such a fantastic week, and we are already looking forward to next year’s trip!!

Watch the video below to get a small glimpse of what our week was like!

No joke, anytime a company sent my grandma anything asking for money, she always gave money. She knew what was important in life, and that’s something a lot of people still need to learn. She is the person who inspired me to devote my life to helping others.

The three towns that were hit the hardest are Manta, Portoviejo and Pedernales.
